Ikirwa School takes children from nursery (age 4) to Class 7. All lessons except Kiswahili are taught in English. The school day runs from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. with nine lessons, porridge at break and a hot lunch. Day pupils are collected by school bus from the surrounding villages; boarding is available.
Fees
Ikirwa is a non-profit school. Fees are set to cover running costs and are published each year for day and boarding pupils. Please contact the school office for the current fee schedule.
Ikirwa Scholars programme
Free places are available for children who show strong potential and a good attitude to school but whose families cannot afford fees. Scholars are chosen according to need and merit, mostly from the local villages, and make up 20% of the school.
Results
Our pupils sit the national SFNA (Class 4) and PSLE (Class 7) examinations every year. Results are available from the school office.
