Eight classrooms and a dormitory
From four rooms and a small office in 2012 to eight classrooms and a dormitory, paid for by grassroots supporters and charity climbers.
The first four classrooms were built on land donated by Gasper Mbise’s family. Since then, supporters from around the world, many of whom first heard about the school on a Kilimanjaro climb with Neeko Tours, have funded four more classrooms and a dormitory so that children from further villages can board.
Nearly 200 pupils now learn here from nursery to Class 7.

Completed in 2023 with Moyo Elimu. Two warm meals a day for every pupil, most of whom would not get them at home.

Keeping the school buses running
The government does not provide transport. The school owns and maintains two buses that collect pupils from the surrounding villages every morning.
