The school kitchen
Completed in 2023 with Moyo Elimu. Two warm meals a day for every pupil, most of whom would not get them at home.
In December 2021 the kitchen site was dry ground. By February 2023 there was a building with a roof, windows and the first ovens installed, and a storage room for groceries followed. It was funded largely by Moyo Elimu, a German association founded by a former volunteer teacher after two months at the school.
The kitchen now cooks breakfast porridge and a hot lunch for the whole school, with vegetables from the school garden. For many of our pupils these are the most reliable meals of their day, and teachers see the difference in the afternoon lessons.

Eight classrooms and a dormitory
From four rooms and a small office in 2012 to eight classrooms and a dormitory, paid for by grassroots supporters and charity climbers.
Keeping the school buses running
The government does not provide transport. The school owns and maintains two buses that collect pupils from the surrounding villages every morning.
